Tracy taking the plunge

Tracy Pinsonis living a life-long dream with Tennessee Walking Horses….to show the horse world that walking horses can be taught to do anything that other breeds can, and do it smoothly. Any time off from her career in consumer goods marketing is spent working with her horses. In addition to raising and training several Supreme Versatility Champions, Tracy’s accomplishments span over 40 years and include a host of rail and versatility titles including TWHBEA World Versatility Show Overall High Point Champion, International Adult Versatility High Point, Celebration Versatility High Point and Florida’s Battle of the Breeds Champion. Additionally, she is a four-time Extreme Cowboy Race Non Pro World Champion with her Tennessee Walking Horses and was inducted into the EXCA Hall of Fame in 2012, in a sport dominated by Quarter Horses. Tracy is also received the TWHBEA Pleasure Horse Ambassador award on two occasions, in 2009 and 2014.

Friday AM: Obstacles & The Gaited Horse – The Basics
Description: Teaching obstacle basics – Backing, side passing and walking over simple obstacles.

Friday PM: Obstacles & The Gaited Horse – Next Steps
Description: Breaking down complex obstacles to simple manuevers. Moving from the basics to the gate, backing and side passing with turns, water boxes, etc.

Saturday AM: Obstacles & The Gaited Horse – The Obstacle Course
Description: Combining obstacles, turning on bridges, adding finesse and preparing for competition.

Saturday PM: Obstacles & The Gaited Horse – Advanced
Description: Adding more complex obstacles, speed and preparing for competition.

Sunday AM: Obstacles & The Gaited Horse – Clinic
Description: Introduction to obstacles and working through issues. Accepting 4 outside riders.
Requirement: Horses and riders fairly new to obstacles – Should have already learned the basics of side passing and backing. Cost $50/rider.

Sunday PM: Obstacles & The Gaited Horse – Clinic
Description: Adding more complex obstacles, combining obstacles and adding speed, as well as finesse. Accepting 4 outside horses
Requirements: Would prefer horses and riders with basic obstacle knowledge and experience. This portion of the clinic will be focusing on combining obstacles and adding some speed, so participants need to be able to execute at least the basics! Cost $50/rider.
